The Pinnacle
This photo was captured on one of the highest peaks in the North Carolina Blue Ridge mountain range, Craggy Pinnacle. On a day when temperatures were sub-freezing and winds induced more than a 10-degree wind chill, the golden hour hike to the peak was extremely rewarding. At the top, groups of people braved the cold huddling together to maintain their body temperatures and witness the beauty of a North Carolina sunset.
