Matted Print FAQ’s

  • "Archival" refers to prints made with high-quality, long-lasting materials that resist fading and deterioration. Archival prints use acid-free paper and pigment-based inks to ensure they stay vibrant for many years. Proper storage is also key to maintaining their quality. See next FAQ for information on proper framing.

  • For the best results, consider having your matted archival quality print professionally framed in UV glass or Acrylic. Ensure the frame is deep enough to prevent the mat and print from forcefully pressing against the glass (a snug fit is okay). Choose a frame that enhances the artwork and your decor, then display your framed print away from direct sunlight and high-humidity areas to preserve its quality.

  • In the unlikely case that your print arrives damaged, fill out a customer service request on my 'Contact' page (linked below) and I will be in touch as soon as possible to arrange a replacement.

  • No, It is not necessary to have your print professionally framed. However, to take advantage of the paper and ink's quality, it is best to have the print framed in UV-resistant glass or UV-resistant acrylic. Ultimately, if the print fits in the frame it will work, but may not be best.
